It’s always great practice to make sure everyone in your organisation is on top of their fire safety knowledge.
A great place to start is by refreshing your knowledge of types of fires, different extinguishers and safety equipment, and the location of equipment and signage in your workplace.
As you can see, fire extinguishers come in many forms. It is imperative we understand what equipment can be used on what type(s) of fire. This helps us stay safe and take the correct course of action, should it be needed. Take a minute to look at this handy infographic and think about what extinguishers you have, and whether your setup might need to be updated. Many workplaces change over time, so it’s important to continuously ensure you have the appropriate equipment, and keep everything properly checked, tested and replaced where necessary. Where fire is involved, it’s always best to err on the side of caution!
